"Dandelions don't care that nobody cares to cultivate Dandelions."
ABOUT DANDELION DREAMING

Inspired by a poem celebrating the resilience of a common weed the Dandelion Dreaming project explores the life experiences of young people in South Africa.

Spanning across the breadth of the nation from remote villages to urban highrise slums, young people tell us what it's really like to come of age in the new South Africa.

Armed with cameras and the power of the written word a group of youth document their lives and open up their worlds to us. They reflect on past disadvantage, navigate harsh present realities and recklessly dream of a future not promised.

This is a conversation about the mystery and magic of youth in the digital age. The majority is speaking. Will we listen?
